Real estate is more than just a profession for me; it's the legacy that runs through my family's veins. My journey in the real estate world was predestined, shaped by generations of passion and expertise. In 1952, my father laid the foundation for Drum Realty in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a family business that continues to thrive into its third generation.

My story took an exciting turn in 1986 when my husband's job brought us to Charleston, South Carolina. We embarked on the search for a place to call home, and it didn't take long for us to fall head over heels for Mount Pleasant. Its picturesque waterfront views and tight-knit community stole our hearts. Witnessing its transformation into the vibrant city it is today has been a privilege. Within the community there are so many things to get involved in. I, myself, am an active member of Saint Peters Church in Mount Pleasant, involved in the welcome team, children’s ministry and wedding guild. When we made our last move to the charming neighborhood of I'On, we knew we had found our forever home, complete with a magnificent corner lot graced by a stately southern tree.

My husband Bob and I have shared a beautiful journey together for fifty five  years. We first crossed paths on our very first day of college at Reinhardt College in North Georgia, and two years later, we said our vows in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Together, we've raised three wonderful children and been blessed with the joy of five grandchildren, ranging in ages from 16 to 21. Being an active part of their lives brings us immense happiness.

Though I initially chose to stay at home to raise my children, the allure of real estate was undeniable. In 1989, a friend who was an agent invited me to organize his office, and from there, I began my real estate journey as his assistant. In 1992, I took the leap into selling real estate with Presson & Stroman, REALTORS, an office I've remained dedicated to through all its name changes over the years. Today, it stands as Carolina One Real Estate, the largest brokerage in the Charleston Area.

Throughout my real estate career, I've achieved two significant milestones that fill me with pride. In 2007, I was honored with the title of Realtor of the Year, a testament to my dedication and commitment. Additionally, I received the prestigious David O'Shaughnessy Award, presented annually by our company in memory of David O'Shaughnessy. This award recognizes individuals who give back to our community, a cause that has always held a special place in my heart.
